Teardrop Hack #4: Wasp-Resistant Storage Screen
I wouldn't say the Seattle area is rife with unpleasant critters, but it does have its share of wasps. They seem to find spots to nest just about everywhere. Given that our teardrop sits idly between camping/road trips, we were a little concerned that they'd decide that the coolest place in town to build nests was inside the vent cover.
I mean...seriously...look at all the cool places to enter! To them, it's gotta look like a little apartment complex, or maybe like a giant Advent calendar.
So, anticipating that the wasps would get as excited about all those little openings as I imagined they would, I got a screen-making kit, and made one to fit over the opening while it's in storage. So far, so good!
