Trip: Deception Pass - Whidbey Island, WA

Liz and I have reserved at least one WA State campground per month through the end of the year, and our first weekend was this weekend at Deception Pass State Park. We've been there tons of times before, and have--many times--taken our sea kayaks into the height of turbulence in Deception pass, itself. Super fun!

This was our first time at "DP" with our teardrop.

Here's a sort of "pictorial essay" of our super sweet weekend:

Home sweet home--at least over the weekend

Deception Island, around which we've paddled countless times.

Liz, with Canoe Pass (L) and Deception Pass (R) behind her. We've kayaked through both of these passes on multiple occasions at both full flood and ebb tides. Fun times!

Packed up, and "ready" to go back to Seattle

We love how part of the local "highway" system is on the ferry system. On the way back to the mainland (Mukilteo, WA)
