Hack #9 - Carpet Storage Pipe
Having seen many trailers with these as added storage for welcome mats, fishing poles, etc., we decided to do the same thing.
The pipe only came in 10' lengths, so I now have about 5' extra. Oh well. It was pretty cheap. I attached it by zip-ties to the tongue (just behind the tongue rack), which may or may not stand the test of time. We'll see!
I also bought an end cap for each end (equal access), and screwed onto each cap a drawer pull for ease of pulling them off. Those suckers are on their solid, which is good, since they fit pretty snugly onto the ends of the pipe. I'm going to need to find a way to make them a hair looser (which would also, probably, necessitate attaching them by a cord to the tongue so as not to see them fall off, and bounce down the highway into oncoming traffic).
